DCS was proud to play a key role in the development of Oxford Parks recent iKUSASA project for Anglo American, that picked up 3 distinctions at the prestigious GBCSA awards for sustainability, green building and eco design.

Qualifying for a green building certification through the Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA) involves a structured process designed to ensure that projects meet rigorous environmental and sustainability standards. The GBCSA offers several certification systems, including Green Star, Net Zero, and EDGE, each tailored to different project types and sustainability goals.

We were thrilled to see the recent iKusasa building pick up 3 green awards.

We brought our years of experience and expertise in sustainable building design to this remarkable development. From shaping the sustainability strategy and navigating the Green Star certification process to integrating energy-efficient systems, we worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure its success.

To qualify for a green building award, a project must integrate practical solutions and advanced technologies that reduce environmental impact, enhance energy efficiency, and promote sustainability. 

 

From the initial planning stages to the final certification, staff members across various departments contributed to the realisation of the project’s sustainability goals.
