Structured cabling

Structured cabling provides the critical backbone of a communication system. DCS understands the complex issues involved in planning, installing and maintaining network communication systems. With our expertise and experience, DCS provides our customers with the commitment that the telecommunications infrastructure, no matter how complex, will be designed, constructed and installed to meet current and future requirements.

Access control

Access control, simply put, prevents individuals from entering places where they do not belong.

By implementing an access control system, you are deterring theft and mitigating operations liability and work-flow disruption. Access control enhances security by eliminating the need for keys which can easily fall into the wrong hands or become lost. Badges and key fobs are a quick and convenient way to manage your property and provide protection to your employees.

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has become an accepted tool to help reduce crime, protecting public spaces, transport networks, business and organisations of all kinds. CCTV systems can provide instant alerts when trouble occurs ensuring that crime against people, theft and vandalism are substantially reduced.

Should an incident occur, CCTV recordings can provide valuable evidence improving the likelihood of conviction. DCS provides CCTV camera solutions to fit all applications both internally and externally from estates, office blocks, hospitals, and public spaces.

Our CCTV systems can be intelligently integrated in to others security systems including security lighting, access control, intruder and fire alarms.

Smoke detection & fire Suppression

An automatic Fire Detection / Alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion. In general, a fire alarm system is either classified as automatic, manually activated, or both. Automatic fire alarm systems can be used to notify people to evacuate in the event of a fire or other emergency. These systems are usually integrated into the main alarm system

Fire suppression systems are used in conjunction with flame and or smoke detectors and fire alarm systems to improve and increase public safety. Suppression systems are governed by the codes under the NFPA 17A (National Fire Protection Association) handbook.

Public address & evacuation systems

DCS provide scaleable public address and voice evacuation systems that can operate as stand alone systems, but can also integrate with entertainment and information systems if required. Public Address Voice Alarm Systems provide a safe working environment allowing information to be communicated to people at any time. The broadcasting of announcements and ambient music are just some of the many benefits a PA/ES system offers.

If an incident occurs the PA/VA System can assist in the safe and orderly evacuation of people from an area of danger.

Project management

When a customer knows what he needs to accomplish, but does not know what is required to meet those needs, DCS will make recommendations, and working with the client, engineer a system to perform to, or exceed the specifications which are required. DCS' approach to develop a comprehensive program:

  • Conduct a fact-finding session with the people involved, identify the requirements and prioritize the issues.
  • Organize the project into objectives and reach a consensus on the scope, deliverables and timing.
  • Systematically record the details, prerequisites and constraints to resolve each issue and define the task requirements.
  • Develop a project plan, of tasks required to resolve each issue, and identify the available resources and timing required.
  • Assign tasks and execute the schedule accordingly to satisfy prerequisites and resolve issues.
  • Monitor progress and facilitate the team and resources to complete the tasks on time.
  • Provide turnkey solutions on all required infrastructure and providing centralised project management with a single point of contact and escalation process.
